Lauren Lyon-Collis was named the newest Member of Reno & Cavanaugh, PLLC effective January 1st, 2016. Lyon-Collis’s practice, based out of the Columbia, Maryland office, focuses on representing developers and housing authorities in complex multi-family housing development transactions using mixed finance sources such as the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program, private debt, Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) equity, bond financing, FHA-insured financing, project-based rental assistance and the Choice Neighborhoods Program.
Lyon-Collis has also represented lenders providing FHA-insured financing in multifamily and nursing facility projects. She has worked on numerous innovative affordable housing transactions including representing developers in the conversion and redevelopment of two projects in Baltimore, Maryland using the RAD program, LIHTC equity, tax exempt bond financing and CDA/DHCD loan financing, and several other projects in Washington, DC and Baltimore, Maryland utilizing LIHTCs, bonds, project-based housing assistance payment (Section 8 HAP) subsidy and other financing programs.
