On January 1, 2016, a law went into effect that requires that the state give notice regarding surplus land to non-profit organizations that develop housing for families and individuals with incomes at or below 80% of Area Median Income (AMI).
Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS) will be working with the Department of Administrative Services (DAS) to notify non-profit organizations that develop affordable housing for low income Oregonians of any potential surplus land.
If your organization is a non-profit organization and you develop housing for families and individuals with low incomes, and you are interested in receiving notices of potential surplus land you can sign up here. Please note that by signing up for this list, you will receive all notices of surplus land that are sent to OHCS under this law. Notices will not be targeted by geography.
If you have questions about the list or OHCS’ role in this process, please contact Alison McIntosh at 503-986-2079 or alison.mcintosh@oregon.gov.
