About the Preservation Through Energy Efficiency (PTEE) Intitiative
With generous support from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, the PTEE Initiative was designed to inform key decision-makers at affordable housing companies about immediate executive actions that can be taken to create portfolio-wide energy, water and other utility efficiencies. NH&RA will present a series of regional “Road Shows”, convening affordable housing executives, along with technical and financial experts to discuss transactional opportunities around energy and utility efficiency. About the Council for Energy Friendly Affordable Housing (CEFAH)
The Council for Energy Friendly Affordable Housing (CEFAH) is a working group of some of the most active owners, managers and consultants of affordable housing. The Council has retained legal and technical expertise to identify policy changes that could be made by Congress, HUD, the GSEs and state agencies to help encourage and finance energy conservation improvements. The goal of CEFAH is to identify areas where significant savings could be found and work with policymakers to obtain regulatory and legislative changes that make such improvements feasible and permissible.
