On Thursday, May 29, Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper signed HB-1017 into law, renewing Colorado’s State Low Income Housing Tax Credit program. Sponsored by Representative Crisanta Duran and Senator Jessie Ulibarri, HB-1017 will create significant new resources to support the development of affordable rental housing across the state. QAP Deadlines
- Alaska: AHFC announced the start of the FY 2015 GOAL competition. Registration requests will be accepted via email through June 19, 2014. The formal pre-application deadline will be on July 3, 2014.
- Minnesota: Minnesota Housing announced the availability of an estimated $70 million in funding through the 2014 consolidated Request for Proposals (RFP) and $12.5 million in 2015 Housing Tax Credits (Round 1). The application deadline is June 10, 2014 by 5:00 PM.
QAP Drafts, Comment Periods, & Public Hearings
- California: CTCAC released proposed minor regulation changes for the 2014 California QAP. These recommendations will be taken into consideration and adoption on Wednesday, June 11, 2014.
- Maryland: DHCD has released the proposed changes to the 2014 QAP and Guide. DHCD will hold a public hearing on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 10:00 AM at their office in Crownsville, and all written comments and intent to provide oral comments at the hearing should be submitted by June 4.
- Oregon: OHCS has adopted temporary rules for the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program which adopts the requirements for transferring owner interest in a project and amend the monitoring and compliance requirements.
- Washington: WSHFC is currently accepting comments for the 2015 9% Housing Credit. You may send an outline of your policy issue for consideration to Leslie Brinson Price at leslie.price@wshfc.org until Friday, June 13, 2014
- Virginia: VHDA will host a 2015 QAP Forum on Thursday, July 17 at the Virginia Housing Center in Glen Allen, and remotely at our southwest location in Wytheville.
