Secretary Turner announced the launch of a DOGE Task Force within HUD to eliminate waste, fraud and abuse. This task force is consistent with President Trump’s Executive Order to maximize governmental efficiency and productivity. The task force is made up of HUD employees and has “already identified over $260 million in [contract] savings.”

Scott Turner was confirmed by the full Senate, 55-44, as Secretary of HUD on February 5.
HUD Halts Enforcement of Gender Identity Rule
