New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency to Launch LIHTC Compliance Portal

New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency launched the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Compliance Portal on Feb. 10, 2025.

Property owners with current MITAS user accounts will receive new login credentials via email.

New Property owners will soon be able to self-register via a portal link that will be available on the NJHMFA website.

Quick Facts:

• The Low Income Housing Tax Credit Portals will be web-based and will facilitate NJHMFA’s compliance monitoring of its LIHTC properties;
• Included within the MITAS system, this enterprise software will manage, and track information related to projects, loans, properties, accounting and ongoing tax credit compliance monitoring;
• There will be a portal specifically for owners and a separate portal for property managers;
• Both portals will be web-based, will operate in a browser that will connect to a single database where all data is stored and will track all tax credit compliance documentation.
