Minnesota Housing announced the availability of up to approximately $5.5 million in funding to address homelessness and housing instability among students and their families through the Homework Starts with Home (HSWH) Program.
The $5.5 million will be distributed as grants through a competitive request for proposals (RFP) process in accordance with the policies established by the Minnesota Department of administration Office of Grants Management (OGM).
HSWH RFP applications are due by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17, 2025. More information, including the application materials, can be found on Minnesota Housing’s Homework Starts with Home webpage.
The Homework Starts with Home (HSWH) Program supports collaborative efforts between local governments and schools, Family Homeless Prevention and Assistance Program (FHPAP) administrators, and Housing Trust Fund (HTF) administrators to identify, engage and stabilize students and their family’s experiencing homelessness.
Eligible Applicants
Eligible applicants include Tribal Nations, HTF administrators, Twin Cities metropolitan area FHPAP administrators and non-metropolitan area FHPAP administrators.
