The Iowa Finance Authority is accepting nominations for its annual HousingIowa Awards. This prestigious awards program recognizes outstanding leadership and innovation across all spectrums of housing in Iowa.
The theme of the awards is “Housing is the Start” – nominations should illuminate stories of how housing was the start for economic advancement, educational achievement, breaking barriers or other quality of life ripple effects and thriving Iowa families, communities and businesses through the nominated initiative. The HousingIowa Awards recognize outstanding programs or projects based on their contributions to advancing affordable housing in Iowa in four categories.
- Multifamily Housing Development;
- Single-Family Housing Development;
- Special Needs Housing Development (Homelessness, housing for the seniors, housing for persons with disabilities, etc.); and
- Innovation (Best of affordable housing design, collaborations, resources leveraged or other unique solutions that help meet an Iowa affordable housing need.).
HousingIowa Award nominations will be accepted through May 31 at 4:30 p.m. CT.
