Last week, Congress avoided a shutdown by continuing FY 2024 appropriations to March 1 and 8. HUD funding is in the first tranche and Congressional leadership has yet to determine the 302b spending levels for each of the 12 appropriations bills.
The Campaign for Housing and Community Development Funding (CHCDF) will host a National Day of Action on January 25 calling on advocates around the country to mobilize and contact their members of Congress to demand increased funding for HUD and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) affordable housing, homelessness and community development programs in the final FY 2024 spending bills.
