Applegate & Thorne-Thomsen announced that Bennett Applegate, Jr., Ryan Hatten and Jolyn Heun have joined the partnership effective January.  

Bennett joined the firm in 2017. He concentrates his practice on representing developers, public housing authorities, and investors in the development of low-income housing and on other community development initiatives.  

Ryan joined the firm in 2016 with a desire to take part in as much of the firm’s work as possible. Ryan has represented not-for-profit and for-profit clients in residential and commercial transactions across the country funded by sources including LIHTC, tax-exempt & taxable bonds, NMTC, HTC, state-issued tax credits, public & private grants, operating subsidies, soft debt, and commercial debt in his time at the firm.  

Jolyn joined the firm in 2019. With a commitment to affordable housing and community development, she is a trusted advocate for developers, investors and not-for-profit organizations navigating the complexities of financing affordable housing through state and federal low-income housing tax credits, historic tax credits, and various HUD, IHDA and local housing assistance programs.
