The D.C. Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) announced it has provided financing to preserve 140 affordable housing units in Ward 8. Ridgecrest Phase 1 Owner LLC, an entity controlled by The NHP Foundation, received $16.1 million in financing from the Housing Production Trust Fund (HPTF) for the first phase rehabilitation of Ridgecrest Village Apartments, an apartment complex at 2200 Savannah Street SE. The project also received an allocation of four percent Federal LIHTC administered by the DC Housing Finance Agency (DCHFA) and District of Columbia LIHTCs from DHCD, which yielded a total of $16.7 million in equity.
