The Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh’s Affordable Housing Program (AHP) will open June 28, with approximately $7 million available. AHP provides competitive grants for the development and rehabilitation of affordable housing for low- to moderate-income households.
For 2022 only, FHLBank Pittsburgh is making available an additional $10.2 million to support affordable housing projects located in FHLBank Pittsburgh’s district (Delaware, Pennsylvania and West Virginia) through a voluntary housing grant initiative. As we look to emerge from the pandemic, FHLBank Pittsburgh is providing this one-time additional funding to help people in FHLBank Pittsburgh’s district who are in need of affordable homes as they reset and recover.
The voluntary housing grant initiative is separate and distinct from (and is not part of) FHLBank Pittsburgh’s required, statutory AHP – but it will use the AHP Online system’s existing infrastructure. Projects may request up to $500,000 in funding by submitting an application through AHP Online. Applications that are not awarded under AHP and are for projects located in-district will be automatically enrolled in the voluntary housing grant initiative pool for consideration.
FHLBank Pittsburgh will hold a webinar on its AHP and voluntary housing grant initiative on April 19 from 2 to 3 p.m. ET, register here.
