The Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH) set aside up to $1,200,000 in forward allocated nine percent LIHTCs for projects with severe hardships. Projects may receive up to ten percent of the original nine percent LIHTC award. Applications are due by March 4 and applicants must demonstrate the following:
- Development contingency has been exhausted;
- Obtained gap financing from active and available ADOH Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA);
- Deferred developer fee to the extent that would allow for repayment through project cash flow within 15 years; and
- Project was value engineered, where possible, to reduce construction cost.
