Alabama Housing Finance Authority (AHFA) will resume onsite physical inspections in January. Physical inspections will consist of exterior portions of properties, as well as the interior of buildings and units. AHFA will email an inspection request notice to each management company’s primary contact prior to visiting the property.
As a reminder, ownership entities/management companies are required to notify AHFA immediately upon the disruption or discontinuation of any service/amenity or upon the occurrence of any property damage. For further explanation of this rule, refer to Addendum D, section II.C. of the 2022 Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP).
In addition, ownership entities/management companies may submit a maintenance action plan to AHFA’s Compliance Department if maintenance corrections are currently delayed due to COVID-19 supply-related issues.
