Applications for Kansas Housing Resource Center’s (KHRC) 2021 Moderate Income Housing (MIH) program are now available. Completed applications must be returned to KHRC no later than 5 p.m. CT on September 27, 2021. Total funding for the 2021 MIH program is expected to be approximately $2 million.
The MIH program serves the needs of moderate-income households that don’t qualify for federal housing assistance. MIH grants and/or loans are awarded to cities and counties to develop multifamily rental units and single-family, for-purchase homes in communities with populations fewer than 60,000 people. The program is funded by the State Housing Trust Fund, administered by KHRC.
