Florida Housing will hold a virtual meeting titled, “Florida Housing’s Strategies for Financing Permanent Rental Housing for Persons with Special Needs and Homeless Households” on August 10, 2021, beginning at 2 p.m. ET. Register here. The meeting’s agenda will include:
- An overview of Florida Housing’s 2021-2022 Proposed Multifamily Financing Development Funding Cycle, focusing on the Request for Applications (RFAs) that provide funding to finance permanent supportive housing and rental housing for persons with special needs or homeless households. There will be a distinct public workshop(s) scheduled for each RFA that will provide details specific to that RFA. The overview will include information regarding a RFA’s proposed funding timelines and amounts, intended households to be served, eligible applicants, as well as funding preferences or goals;
- A detailed discussion regarding proposed changes to Florida Housing’s application requirements and processes for financing specialized housing for persons with special needs and homeless households. Staff will discuss proposed changes to be included in respective RFAs for the 2021-2022 funding cycle. Additionally, Florida Housing will address how the proposed changes will impact respective RFAs in the 2021-2022 funding cycle; and
- Updates on key Florida Housing strategies and activities that impact persons with special needs and homeless households.
