Woda Cooper Companies, Inc. announced that it was honored as the 2021 Housing Champion by the Community Transformers Foundation (CTF) at the nonprofit organization’s virtual awards ceremony June 12, 2021. Community Transformers Foundation is a private, independent foundation serving communities in Virginia. It was created to address health and social inequities in communities that are historically under served and represented. CTF focuses on four areas addressing economic stability, social and community engagement, education and wellness and health care.
Woda Cooper said it was recognized for its work developing affordable housing communities throughout Virginia. The firm has 11 affordable rental communities, with more than 600 units operating or in development in Virginia. “We are delighted to recognize Woda Cooper for the fine work they’re doing in providing affordable and safe housing to populations that are often shut out of the market. We look for individuals, organizations and businesses who are making a significant contribution in eliminating barriers within the housing community,” said Rhonda Greene, CTF’s executive director.
