Governor Greg Abbott approved the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs’ (TDHCA) 2021 QAP on December 1, 2020. The QAP will become effective 20 days after submission to the Texas register.
In preparation for the 2021 Competitive nine percent LIHTC Cycle, the Multifamily Finance Division has posted the following items:
- 2021 nine percent LIHTC Pre-Application Submission System Instructions and
- 2021 nine percent LIHTC Pre-Application Template.
The Application Acceptance Period for the 2021 nine percent LIHTC Cycle opens on Monday, January 4, 2021. The pre-application final delivery date is Friday, January 8, 2021, at 5 p.m. CT. Pre-Application fees must be received by this same deadline. The nine percent LIHTC pre-application is not mandatory; however, Applicants that provide a pre-application are eligible for points in the full application (assuming all applicable requirements are met), and Applicants that do not provide a pre-application will not be eligible for those points.
