The Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) will hold an application workshop for the 2020 Winter Round of its Housing Trust Fund Competitive Grants Program from 9 – 11 a.m. CT on October 22. Join the meeting via this link or dial 1-650-479-3208, code: 133 888 5245.
Approximately $3.3 million will be available for the 2021 Winter Round. THDA will accept applications from cities, counties, development districts, public housing authorities, other State departments and private, nonprofit organizations. All housing funded through the Competitive Grants Program must be rental and address the housing needs of households with incomes at or below 80 percent of the area median income (AMI). Projects serving the rental housing needs of households with incomes at or below 50 percent or 30 percent of AMI are encouraged. Additional points may be awarded to applicants meeting the housing needs of youth aging out of the State’s foster care system, ex-offenders and homeless veterans.
Applications must be received by THDA on or before Tuesday, December 10, 2020, at 4 p.m. CT. Applications must be submitted electronically through the secure THDA EDT site. Access to the secure site may be obtained by emailing THTF@thda.org. THDA anticipates notifying successful applicants by February 15, 2021, with contracts effective March 1, 2021
