On Tuesday the Senate voted 61-32 to confirm Brian Montgomery as HUD’s deputy secretary. Montgomery has been serving as acting deputy secretary, as well as Federal Housing Administration (FHA) Commissioner since former deputy secretary Pam Patenaude left in January of 2019.
In a hearing last week the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee advanced the nomination of Dana Wade to be the Assistant Secretary for Housing and Federal Housing Commissioner at HUD. Wade previously served as Acting Federal Housing Commissioner and General Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Office of Housing.
