Public Hearing on California’s Consolidated Plan on March 19
The California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) will hold a hearing and webinar on developing its 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan from 4:00 – 6:00 pm PT on March 19 at 2020 West El Camino Ave. Room 402 Sacramento, CA 95833. Register for the webinar or in-person event here.

The Consolidated Plan examines housing and community development needs throughout the state, with a special focus on rural cities and counties. The Consolidated Plan is the five-year planning document that provides guidance on how to prioritize the State of California’s funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The plan also describes how federal funds will be used to address the needs of low- and moderate-income communities and improve the quality of life for Californians.

The plan will allow HCD to administer funding for the following federal housing and community development programs:

  • Community Development Block Grant;
  • HOME Investment Partnerships;
  • Emergency Solutions Grants;
  • National Housing Trust Fund; and
  • Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (administered by the California Department of Public Health).
