Participants of the Green Bonds in California: A Practical Path for Issuers series will gain a clearer understanding of the risks and benefits of a green bond issuance and how to strike the proper balance between financial and environmental stewardship. A one-day seminar on Ongoing Debt Administration will be held on September 4. The discussion focuses on a framework for developing and administering an internal control system to account for and report on the expenditure of bond proceeds. The seminar focuses on the principles of a control system to provide for the prudent management and disbursement of public funds and applies these to bond administration. The program will incorporate tools developed by the Task Force on Bond Accountability convened by the State Treasurer’s Office. You can register for this event here. Costs are $150 for the public officials and $250 private sector individuals.
