The California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) has updated the Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) schedule. The schedule shows when:
- Draft program guidelines will be released for public comment
- Each NOFA will be released
- Applications for funding are due
- Awards for funding will be announced
HCD makes loans and grants available through more than 20 programs for:
- Construction, acquisition, rehabilitation, and preservation of affordable rental and ownership housing, homeless shelters, and transitional housing
- Construction of public facilities and infrastructure
- Economic development assistance to increase availability of jobs for lower income workers
Preparation of planning documents to streamline housing production, including, but not limited to, general plans; community plans; specific plans; implementation of sustainable communities strategies; and local coastal programs.
