Preliminary Application Reminder
Preliminary applications for 2020 LIHTCs are due by June 3, 2019 and must be submitted via Apricot. A preliminary application is a prerequisite to applying for nine percent LIHTCs. Please review the Preliminary Application Review process, which outlines the required documents to be submitted with the preliminary application. Final applications are due on August 23, 2019.
Apricot Online Training
The previous system used for submission of LIHTC applications and exhibits, was retired in February 2019. The new system is Apricot, a user-friendly, online system where developers can upload applications and other related documents into a secure environment.
The New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority (NHHFA) is holding an online training on May 16 from 9-10 am EDT. The online training is intended to introduce users to Apricot and will include instructions on how to navigate the system, upload applications and exhibits and save application submissions.
If you plan to submit a preliminary application on June 3, 2019 for 2020 LIHTCs, please make every effort to participate in this training. To receive a login for Apricot and call-in information for the training, please contact Laurel Treamer at 603-310-9293 or ltreamer@nhhfa.org no later than May 13. If you are unable to join the call, please contact Laurel Treamer to receive login information and a brief overview of the system no later than May 24.
New and Improved Financing Application
The NHHFA Financing Application has been updated to include changes such as, color-coded tabs to ensure that developers complete only the necessary data for the funding type applied for, additional unit mix fields for multiple income bands and instructions. The new application is not required for the submission of a preliminary application; however, NHHFA strongly encourages it, as the new application will be required for the submission of a final application in August.
The new application can be found here. If you have questions about the application, please contact Julia Morgan at 603-310-9280 or by email to jmorgan@nhhfa.org.
