The Multifamily Programs office of the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) sent an email providing several updates on its activities. THDA has yet to publish its 2019 Multifamily Tax-Exempt Bond Authority (MTBA) and Competitive Low Income Housing Tax Credit applications but wrote that they are under development and should be available soon. THDA also plans to publish its 2019 Application Processing guide, Frequently Asked Questions memo, and other policies and guidance for 2019.
The final Allocation listings for 2018 MTBA and 9% Competitive Low Income Housing Tax Credit will be published by Jan. 11, 2019. THDA will offer Application Workshops via webinars for both programs in late January and/or February of 2019
Applicants that have never utilized the Tennessee Housing’s Online Multifamily Application System (THOMAS) and do not have user credentials are able to request those credentials now. Instructions can be found at here.
