The Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) is pleased to announce a competitive opportunity for local units of government and/or nonprofit organizations to assist neighborhoods statewide through a Request for Proposal (RFP) window through January 25, 2019.
The RFP can be found on MSHDA’s website at Request for Proposal.
The NEP’s goals are to identify and fund innovative activities to address a neighborhood’s specific needs; assist and then showcase Michigan neighborhoods where people are engaged and facilitating change; and to provide funding to facilitate and implement activities.
The NEP can financially assist high-impact, innovative, housing-oriented activities that benefit low and moderate income areas and residents.
All five components are designed to fund tangible housing-oriented activities that are implementation ready, highly visible, impactful to the neighborhood and residents’ quality of life. NEP projects should be holistically/ community focused, have buy-in and demonstrated support within the neighborhood and community.
