Ownes and Management Agents of LIHTC developments are required to attend CHFA’s Tax Credit Compliance Monitoring Conference at least six months prior to the first building’s Placed-In-Service date.
Who should attend? Owners, Developers, and Agents with new LIHTC projects placing in service; compliance staff/personnel. What is it all about? Overview of the allocation and compliance monitoring components of the tax credit program; CHFA’s and Spectrum’s monitoring requirements. Processing applications and completing Tenant Income Certifications. Spectrum will cover how to complete verification forms, the most common mistakes and easiest ways to avoid findings of noncompliance, plus tips on how to prepare for a Spectrum review. Certificates of continuing education will be emailed to attendees following the conference. How to Register Sessions fill up quickly and space is very limited; we therefore ask that no more than three participants per organization attend the conference. CHFA is pleased to offer this conference at no charge to participants, but has implemented the following policies due to past attendance issues:
