Founder and senior partner of LSA & Partners, Byron L. Lee has been appointed by Senate President John A. Alario, Jr., to serve on the Louisiana Housing Corporation Board of Directors.
“I am pleased to serve on the LHC Board,” said Lee. “Access to affordable housing is critical to strengthening families, as well as the viability of our economy. And I look forward to developing quality housing solutions for the citizens of Louisiana.”
Lee has more than 30 years of public service and entrepreneurial experience at the federal, state and local level. During his time as a public servant, he worked to advance issues that would enhance the quality of life for Louisiana citizens, primarily in the areas of healthcare, housing, public transportation, and infrastructure.
“Mr. Lee brings a diverse set of expertise to the board,” said LHC Board Chairman Lloyd “Buddy” Spillers. “His experience will prove beneficial as we endeavor to enhance statewide housing policies.”
Lee serves on the board of the U.S. Selective Services System, West Jefferson Medical Center, New Orleans Black Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.
LHC is governed by a board of 11 members consisting of the State Treasurer, six members appointed by the Governor, two by the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House representing various housing sectors and the public.
