The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (“TDHCA”) is pleased to announce a roundtable to gather public input for use of the Ending Homelessness Fund (“EH Fund”). The roundtable will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Austin local time, at the William P. Hobby Jr. Building, 333 Guadalupe Street, Room 102, Austin, TX 78701. Please RSVP no later than Friday, January 26, 2018.
The 85th Texas Legislature passed House Bill 4102, which allows registrants of a motor vehicle in Texas to donate to the newly-established Ending Homelessness Fund (?Fund?). The donations must be used to provide grants to counties and municipalities to combat homelessness. House Bill 4102 also requires TDHCA to adopt rules governing the Fund. More information about the Fund can be found online.
Individuals who require auxiliary aids, services or sign language interpreters for this roundtable should contact Naomi Cantu at 512-475-3975 or Relay Texas at 800-735-2989, at least three (3) days before the roundtable so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
