The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (“TDHCA”) has posted the 2018-1 Multifamily Direct Loan Notice of Funding Availability (“NOFA”) to its website at: http://www.tdhca.state.tx.us/multifamily/nofas-rules.htm or http://www.tdhca.state.tx.us/nofa.htm.
Up to $28,862,745 in Multifamily Direct Loan funding for the development of affordable multifamily rental housing for low-income Texans is available to for-profit and nonprofit entities that meet the requirements of the 2018-1 NOFA. TDHCA will accept applications beginning Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018. Based on the availability of funds, applications may be accepted until Friday, Sept. 28, 2018, at 5 p.m., Austin local time.
Additionally, TDHCA has posted the 2018 Multifamily Direct Loan Rule (10 TAC Chapter 13) to its website at: http://www.tdhca.state.tx.us/multifamily/nofas-rules.htm.
Both the 2018-1 NOFA and 10 TAC Chapter 13 appear in the Dec. 29, 2017, version of the Texas Register at: http://www.sos.texas.gov/texreg/index.shtml.
Finally, TDHCA has posted the 2018 Multifamily Uniform Application, 2018 Direct Loan Unit Calculator Tool, and 2018 Multifamily Uniform Application Certifications, all of which can be used by applicants for Direct Loan funds under the 2018-1 NOFA, to its website at: http://www.tdhca.state.tx.us/multifamily/apply-for-funds.htm.
