TDHCA has posted an Initial List of Eligible Existing Developments for Participation in the Section 811 PRA Program (“Initial 811 Existing Development List”) to its website at: http://www.tdhca.state.tx.us/section-811-pra/qualified-existing-developments.htm.
If a 2018 Multifamily Program applicant is intending to participate in the Section 811 PRA Program through using an Existing Development in their portfolio, the Existing Development they select should be reflected on this list. The released list of properties reflects those properties that TDHCA staff has identified as facially satisfying the Section 811 Project Rental Assistance Program (“Section 811 PRA Program”) qualification requirements for Existing Developments described below.
Starting in 2018, the 811 Existing Development List replaces the previous method of obtaining a determination that an Existing Development is approved, which had required applicants to submit a Section 811 Existing Development Screening Tool. The list is to help streamline the process of identifying Developments eligible to participate in the 811 Program. Inclusion or absence of a property from the list does not, alone, preclude its use by an Applicant.
If an individual believes a property reflected on the list should not be classified as an eligible Existing Development, or if an individual believes a property not on list should, in fact, be on this list, there is an opportunity to request revisions to the list described more fully on the posting cover page.
All requests for revisions to the list must be sent to TDHCA Section 811 Manager Spencer Duran at spencer.duran@tdhca.state.tx.us no later than Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, at 5 p.m., Austin local time.
