The Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities Staff recently announced that the AHSC 2017-2018 NOFA has now increased from an originally available $155 million up to $255 million, incorporating proceeds from the August Cap-and-Trade auction.
The AHSC Program was designed to promote a reduction in greenhouse gasses. Such a goal can be accomplished through, among other avenues, development of transit-oriented affordable housing. The program limits any single project award to $20 million and any single developer to $40 million per funding round.
Applications are due by January 16, 2018.
