Arizona Posts First Draft of 2017 QAP, Comments due Sept. 7th

The Arizona Department of Housing (“ADOH”) has posted its first draft (redlined) of the 2017 Qualified Allocation Plan.

Set Asides:

• State Special Project Set Aside has been reinstated (following a suspension for 2016)
• Section 811 Set Aside has been reduced from 64 to now only up to 39 units receiving HUD Section 811 Rental Assistance

Scoring:

• “Cost Efficiency” [Section 2.7(G), 2.9(U), Tab 21] has been added and the category can receive a maximum of 15 points (out of 219.5 maximum points).
• Sustainable Development: Energy Star, Enterprise Green Communities, and the Gold certification path for the 2012 National Green Building Standard have been added as eligible programs to this category.
