In response to the severe storms and flooding May 26, 2016 – June 24, 2016, a Federal Disaster Declaration has been issued for the following counties: Austin, Bastrop, Brazoria, Brazos, Burleson, Eastland, Fort Bend, Grimes, Hidalgo, Hood, Lee, Liberty, Montgomery, San Jacinto, Stephens, Travis, Tyler, Waller and Washington.
In accordance with 10TAC§10.607(g), please update your Unit Status Report (“USR”) in the Compliance Monitoring and Tracking System (“CMTS”) with current household information so that the Department has accurate records regarding vacancy availability in the state.
IRS Revenue Procedure 2014-49 and IRS Revenue Procedure 2014-50 provide guidance about providing emergency housing for persons displaced from their principal residence as a result of a major disaster. If you have potentially eligible displaced households and you are interested in providing emergency housing relief, prior approval is required.
