The Authority commissioned state-wide utility allowances have been completed and are now available for use on existing and future Tax Credit and HOME developments. These allowances were created using the HUD Utility Schedule Model. The state-wide allowances have been posted on both the Tax Credit and HOME webpages and are entitled LIHTC Utility Allowances and HOME Utility Allowances, respectively. The state-wide utility allowances are divided into 3 quadrants – Upstate Region, Midlands Region and Low Country Region. A list of the counties making up each region is listed on the webpage. The type of development proposed will determine the type of utility allowance used. Definitions for development types are provided at the bottom of each utility allowance page.
