Update: TCAC Posts Adopted Regulation Changes to Tax Credit Program

The regulations adopted by the Committee October 21 are now available on the TCAC website. TCAC also posted a strikeout/underlined version.

TCAC Posts Final Version of Proposed Changes to Tax Credit Allocations

After months of back-and-forth with the affordable housing community about proposed changes to tax credit regulations, the California Tax Credit Allocation Committee posted its final proposed version.

The original changes, which were proposed in July 2015, had many affordable housing developers and their partners concerned about detrimental impacts it could have to the industry. TCAC gathered feedback at four public hearings across the state and produced a modified version of the proposed changes. The proposal released on September 8 removed some of the more controversial suggestions. TCAC accepted additional comments on these sections, which resulted in the current state of the proposal.

The Committee will review the finalized recommendations for adoption on October 21.
