Klein Hornig LLP welcomed three new attorneys, Steve Paul, Katie Day, and Ben Funk, to its tax practice.
Steve Paul has more than 35 years of experience providing tax and business advice representing developers, syndicators and investors using federal and state tax credits and other incentives for the development of affordable housing, preservation of historic buildings and financing various other projects in low-income communities. Before joining Klein Hornig, Steve was a partner and long-time chair of the Tax, Benefits & Compensation department at Boston’s Palmer & Dodge LLP and its successor firms (most recently Locke Lord Edwards).
Katie Day focuses her practice on federal and state income taxation, including work with tax-exempt entities. She represents developers, syndicators and investors in federal and state tax credit transactions and also joins us from Locke Lord Edwards.
Ben Funk comes to Klein Hornig from Volunteers of America, Inc., one of the nation’s largest nonprofit providers of affordable housing, where he served as Assistant General Counsel. Ben has broad affordable housing experience, including with HUD financing and operational and compliance issues for nonprofit sponsors of affordable housing.
