Candeur Group, LLC and Steven Fayne, former Managing Director in Citigroup’s affordable housing division, have formed a joint venture, Candeur Fayne, LLC. The new partnership will focus on affordable housing lending and investing activities including a CDFI lending facility, Low-Income Housing Tax Credit investing partnerships, and other investment banking products.
Steven Fayne began his career in affordable housing in 1992 when he formed Eichler Fayne, one of the first Delegated Underwriter Servicer (DUS) mortgage firms in the industry. Over the next 22 years, Mr. Fayne held Managing Director positions at ARCS Commercial Mortgage, GMAC Commercial Mortgage, and Citigroup Global Markets, Inc. Mr. Fayne holds a Bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University, a Bachelor of Law degree from Cumberland School of Law, and a Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University.
Candeur is an investment banking firm for the affordable housing industry providing consulting, advisory, and investment services to affordable housing developers, syndicators, and investors.
