SCANPH will host a webinar on The 1115 Medicaid Waiver: Benefits for Residents and Developers of Supportive and Senior Housing. The webinar will take place on Tuesday, April 7 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm. California is in the process of drafting a set of proposals to permit some medicaid funding to be used for supportive services and even rental subsidies for supportive housing for Medi-Cal beneficiaries who are high-cost homeless people and/or seniors who would otherwise be living in nursing facilities. Over the next half of a year, this “1115 Medicaid Waiver” may result in significant changes to Medi-Cal’s response to housing instability.
