The Public and Affordable Housing Research Corporation (PAHRC) and the National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC) recently released the National Housing Preservation Database, which was created in an effort to provide communities with the information they need to effectively preserve their stock of public and affordable housing. The database incorporates all available data on federally subsidized housing properties and can be filtered by location, funding stream, or ‘at risk of loss’ status. The database covers any property funded or subsidized by HUD Project Based Rental Assistance, Section 202 Direct Loans, State Section 236 HFA bonds, HUD-Insured loans, low-income housing tax credits (LIHTC), HOME funds, Rural Development Section 515 / Section 538 funds, or Public Housing funding.
