The Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority is seeking comments on its proposed regulations to establish its New Markets Tax Credit Assistance Guarantee and Loan Program. The New Markets Tax Credit Assistance Guarantee and Loan Program will enable AIDEA to issue guarantees and make loans to help finance projects through the federal New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) program. This program offers a process by which federal tax credits are allocated to support nationwide financing of projects located in underserved and underdeveloped communities with high poverty and unemployment rates. AIDEA will accept written comments until Feb. 22. The authority will also accept oral and written comments at a hearing Feb. 13.
