The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs will be hosting a series of workgroups to discuss proposed changes to the 2013 Uniform Multifamily Rules and Qualified Allocation Plan. The workgroups will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2012 from 8:00am- 5:00pm in Austin, with the specific location to be determined shortly. Below is an overview of the workgroups schedule:
- 8:00am- 10:00am: Issues surrounding rural developments and applications
- 10:00am- 12:00 noon: Uniform Multifamily Rules
- 1:00pm- 4:00pm: QAP (scoring criteria for 9% tax credit applications)
- 4:00pm- 5:00pm: General discussion
TDHCA will post preliminary drafts of these rules on its website. To attend the workgroups, please RSVP to misael.arroyo@tdhca.state.tx.us by Wednesday, August 22.
In addition, TDHCA has opened up an online Discussion Forum for interested parties to provide feedback on possible threshold, scoring, and other factors that may be included in the 2013 QAP. While the comments posted online will not be considered official public comment for purposes of the rule-making process, they will be used to craft a framework and identify policy issues that should be addressed in preparing the 2013 QAP draft. TCHCA will not be able to respond to all questions raised on the posts, but will attempt to provide additional information when necessary. To register for the Discussion Forum, or to view comments posted by other registered users, please visit https://tdhca.websitetoolbox.com/.
