The Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development, along with its sister agencies, will be hosting an information session for developers on using the Community Based Housing (CBH) and Facilities Consolidation Fund (FCF) programs for the development of independent, integrated units in affordable housing developments. Any developer who is in the process of developing an affordable housing project in Massachusetts, or is planning to in the future, is welcome to attend.

The session will provide an overview of the CBH and FCF programs, including project types, design guidelines, funding considerations, tenant eligibility and selection, and the roles of the various state agencies. The information will be presented by representatives from each of the agencies involved in administering the programs. These include: the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS), the Department of Mental Health (DMH), the Department of Developmental Services (DDS), the Community Economic Development Assistance Council (CEDAC), and the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC), along with the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD). In addition, several for- and non-profit developers of successful affordable housing projects using these programs will share their experiences.
