New York State Homes and Community Renewal (HCR) has announced the availability of its latest round of funding for the Low-Income Housing Credit (LIHC), Housing Trust Fund (HTF), HOME Program, and State Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program (SLIHC). Funds are available through HCR’s Unified Funding application process. The breakdown of available funds for each program is:



  • LIHC – $25 million

    • $22,000 per unit maximum
    • $1.43 million per project maximum ($1.65 million for projects in which 50% or more of the units built will serve large families or persons with special needs)


  • HTF – $32 million
  • HOME – $11 million (subject to availability of appropriations)
  • SLIHC – $4 million

    • $20,000 per unit maximum
    • $750,000 per project maximum




All application materials and reference publications are expected to be available on the HCR website on September 5, 2012. HCR will host 3 application workshops at the following dates and locations:
