The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) has submitted a remedial plan to address the recent Fair Housing Act (FHA) violations which were brought against the agency earlier this year by Inclusive Communities Project, Inc. The remedial plan includes revisions of its LIHTC Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP) and other provisions. While the lawsuit is still pending in federal court, there is a possibility that the ruling and the agency’s remedial actions could affect the release of TDHCA’s 2012 LIHTC allocations.
