Several agencies have released a notice indicating changes to the Fixed Residential Moving Cost Schedule (FRMCS). The FRMCS was developed as a result of the Uniform Relocation Act to assist with moving payments and related expenses for people who are displaced because of Federal or federally assisted projects. This revision increases the moving cost schedule amounts in the States and Territories of: Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Guam, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. The provisions in the notice are effective June 22, 2012 or earlier date if an agency elects to begin operating under this schedule.
