The Internal Revenue Service released a notice in the Federal Register announcing that it is extending the comment period for previously issued Notice 2012″“7. This Notice suspended certain requirements under Section 42 of the Internal Revenue Code for low-income housing credit projects in the United States to provide emergency housing relief needed as a result of the devastation caused by flooding in Iowa between May 25, 2011 and August 1, 2011. Written comments should be received on or before June 29, 2012 and should be directed to Yvette Lawrence, Internal Revenue Service, Room 6129, 1111 Constitution Avenue NW., Washington, DC 20224.
