The Mississippi Housing Corporation (MHC) presented the Executive Summary of its proposed 2012 Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP) revisions during its November Board meeting. The proposed revisions modify and/or add language to various sections of the QAP. Notable changes include:
- Notes that MHC is now approved to complete HUD Subsidy Layering Reviews;
- Requires that all changes to the development as presented in the application must be disclosed to MHC no more than thirty (30) days after they have been identified;
- Modifies program deadlines and fees;
- Incorporates a 10% set-aside for non-profit entities;
- Modifies requirements for amenities;
- Revises and combines several point scoring categories;
- Requires developments be built at a minimum to the ICC 700 -2008 National Green Building Standard, Bronze level.
