Governor John Kitzhaber has announced the appointment of Margaret Shephard Van Vliet to fill the position of Oregon Housing and Community Services Director. Van Vliet recently served as the first director of the city of Portland’s Housing Bureau, where she led the merger of two city agencies. She has also held leadership posts at the Housing Authority of Portland.
