HUD’s Office of Policy Research & Development has released a new information system containing labor force data for cities from a database of Local Area Unemployment Statistics data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The system provides data on the number of employed residents, the size of the labor force, and the unemployment rate during a selected month in two selected years between 1990 and 2006 for all of the U.S. principal cities and metropolitan areas.
